Starting a 1v1 tourny when I return

alright, so, I am going to start a tourny, and it is by invite only. Me, or people I give permission to will be inviting players we feel are skilled and dedicated enough to be involved in a clan tourny.

this isnt happening too soon, it most likely will not begin for 3 weeks or so. In this time, I ask for the word to be spread, that we are having an invite only tourny. Players should train as much as possible, and prepare for everything involved.

Until I return from Japan, I am leaving Verti, Jiff, Drac, and Accursed in charge of getting the word out, and inviting people to the tourny. I am hoping for 24 or more people to be involved, assuming 4 will drop out, that leaves enough for a REAL tourny to take place. ONLY INVITE PEOPLE YOU KNOW WILL SHOW! Kon, Jar (although he quit) mwahahaha, and Sami are all invited by me, assuming they want to join, use them as standards for joining.

Quick Rules:

There will be only 3 days per round, if you dont play, you lose. (can still play other losers)
anyone who loses will have 1 day to play anyone else who lost. The winner may continue on.
if you refuse to play a game when you have the time, if you do not play before the 3 days are up, you lose.
Pairing is random, if the 2 best players face off in round 1, it is the same as facing off in round 6... 1 winner!
Anyone intentionally abusing a bug will be removed from the tourny.
Anyone who finds and reports a bug during their game will advance to the next round, along with their opponent.
Game settings are NONE by default. Players must agree on any additional rules or modes they want added.
If an opponent forces you into a game mode you dont agree on, save the replay, and we will deal with it.
If you have any complaints, problems, or bugs, SAVE THE REPLAY. Your words arent as good as proof.
If there is a server split, and no CLEAR winner, players will play the round again. (both save replay)
If a players internet goes out, that player loses. (save replay)

Me, Yiff, Verti, and Accursed have the final say.
If there are any problems, any cheating, anyone who deserves to move on despite not playing their game (it could happen) or if we need 1 more player for an even number, or really, anything that we all agree should be done, changed, ect. will happen.

Im not invited? Sniff I see how it is I create my own tourny with black jack and hookers. WTF nobody joining my tourny. Hmm cant seem to find a deck of cards either. Screw it just get me the hookers.

kon, i hadnt seen you on at all for the week before i left, i didnt know if you had returned or not since then. if you are active, then you can be in charge of the tourny also. I am kinda outta the loop on who is active now-a-days.

didnot, talk to one of them about joining. last time i talked to you, you still couldnt play much for... some reason, and werent fully back yet.

glorn i have been on every day.. undead and sami can be my witness :p anyway, it was after 10 p.m US east time since i am in asia right now, i get up at 10 every morning, as a result, i am on usually from 10p.m to 3 a.m, and after 12 p.m. I guess thats why I haven't seen you on at all the week before you left too

the week before I left I was busy also, I put in 50 hours at work, while doing all of my college stuff, and packing/planning my trip. I was usually offline by 10 PM, so that could explain it. well, you can help me with this tourny then! only invite people you KNOW will show up.

sounds interesting. best of luck I dont intend on trying to join this 1 since schools about to start. let me know how things pan out and if i can do anything to help out glorn.

Yeah...My school starts 3 weeks from now as well, I don't think I'll be able to make this tournament. Also, I won't be on nearly as much when it starts, I wouldn't be surprised if I had an inactivity kick coming my way ><

I guess it will be too soon to invite people, as schools are starting soon, some might go inactive. It might be wiser to invite people the week before the tourny starts since it is very often to see people that used to be very active suddenly turn into inactive or even quit wc3. The invite time wouldn't be too long since the inviters have the invite list in their mind already. Of course... Considering the fact that people need time to practice, i guess the best inviting period is 2 weeks before the tourny begins!

So, for now... practice, practice, practice and practice.

heh, yeah, this has kinda been forgotten about... I have bene too busy editing, it will prolly be started when 3.0 comes out.. so everyone isnt using the same build, and we have a lot of active people!

this is probably in the wrong thread but what clan chat on which server ( west, east etc) do you guys use? ive been on usa east on bn, CHA, cha ,chao ,CHAO , cha0, CHA0 and all variations of any cha clan ive ever known about (including ck) but ive never seen anyone there except for another peon and the oh-so mysterious BNMAN. it would REEEEAAAAAALLLLLLYYY help if you could oculd help me here

Ty, so is the clan BN or bn? and how often are you guys on?

BN we usually got people on. We play a lot of games though; so you may not find a lot of people in the channel.


we also have a bot (run by 2 people) clan_bn_cha_bot and chao also has a bot named xkahn, usually they have someone around also.

clan channels arent case sensitive; but we are BN

A few questions;
How do i join one of the clans?
(when i try to goto the channel its restricted. this is everytime i try.)
How do i get invited to the tourny?
When can i prove to someone that im good at this game?
give me a time i can be on.

I'm not sure about chao; talk to wrathtoruin, sami_gurl, or verti89 about their most active hours. Ours are usually later in the day. 8 PM till 1 AM. Though we are usually in games (last night we were playing clan games for like 4 hours straight)

If no one is in channels, try whispering people.

To my understanding most if not all of you are US this mean times are different ill work something out with them then it also puts me in a bit of a disadvantage, never the less i wil destroy you all.

as far as chao goes like glorn said myself, sami and wrath are the most active people with power. but like he said also we spend a good deal of our time actually playing so whispering or PMing on here is your best bet.
