| I think a tourny might be fun; but with our lower count on active members, and with college started, school started, and, well, people living.. it is hard to get specific people online at the same time.
Just curious how many people would be interested, or able, to participate in a round-robin tourny, that would take place over a month or so.
A round robin tourny is a tourny where you play 1 game against everyone else in the tourny. Whoever has the best score when it is over; wins the tourny.
what you need, is to be able to log on for at least a couple of hours a day, 4-5 days of the week. an hour here or these, hopefully during the evening time, when most people are able to log on. Keep in mind, this tourny would run for a month. Not for the next 3 days. If you are good to play for the next 3 days, but then are going on a vacation to the artic circle for 3 weeks; spare me the trouble.
This isnt a sign-up; as the tourny conditions havent been set or anything; but, just a way for me to see if this would be worth following through. | |

| Elimination is not a bad idea.

| elimination with... 6 people? we have had 3 round robin style tournys. 2 were finished. math? In fact, I think that is better than the 5/20 ratio of elimination tournys. | |

| the idea of "you 8 people need to be on, and play each other, by this date, so we can continue to the next round by X date" is why it doesnt work. Double elimination doesnt take that factor out of it. | |

| ok it was just a suggestion in case we had about 10-20 people if we could get that meny to join the tourny but i see what you mean getting the people on at this time so they can play is hard enough but haven them on a nother time on this or that day is harder with the time cuz of the school and all.
why not see if we can have it like a week or so befor x-mas break and have it continued after it so that way people are out of school and at home and most of us will have internet to play with when we get there so the only propblem would be then is getting people to log on then cuz they will have no propblems but to shop for the rents and every one else.
but there is still a major problem wit this. If we can do it by then try to see if we can have it befor oct 31, that way most people be out early and such i dont got work on that day so thats a + for me so i will be able to join the tourny then.
