Also, you are doing it wrong.
Use mana shield. It is why yetis watery defenders+MS build was so strong.
Why? spell damage reduction comes into play before MS does. MS doesnt care what kind of damage it takes.
Lets say you were foolish and got your SL to 90%; then you grabbed a 75% spell damage reduction item.
You get hit with a 2,000 damage auto attack; ouch, that hurts.
well, 90% of that is turned into spell damage. boom, 1800 spell damage, and 200 normal damage. The 200 hits your MS, reduced by 80%; 40 damage.
The remaining 1800 is spell damage. It is reduced by 75% before the damage goes to your mana shield for reduction. boom, 450. that 450 is then dropped by the 80% of MS. 90. if it was 200 spell damage hitting you, it would be 200/4=50/5=10 damage.
So, 200 normal damage on MS=40 damage
200 spell damage on MS with max SL=10 damage.
Damage is reduced directly by your spell damage reduction. Pick up an immortals shield or boots; and it becomes impossible to lose health.
Downfall? purge.
