| We are going to start keeping track of clan rankings these ranking will not solely be determined by skill but your activity and participation in the clan. Now for doing different things you will get points gaining points allows you to move up in the clan rankings and gain promotions. For instance
Just for playing a clan match you get 1 point Winning a clan match you get 3 points (pubs dont count) Recruiting a Member you get 5 points Helping a Member Train to pass a grunt test you get 5 points For Certain clan events you may be awarded as much as 20 points Shamans gets 3 points for testing recruits You can only gain 20 points a day except for certain clan events (Chao Parties Tourneys Etc.
now for rankings
Peon 0 Points (You made it into chao Congrats)
Grunt 300 Points (You can earn it in 2 weeks if you trying hard) (300 allows you to take the test (you should pass) Shaman 1000 Points (Gonna take a bit of work) (you are subject to my approval)
Now to post matches you can go to the Chao Rankings Topic for a match be sure to say who you were playing with and who wins you may include a replay if you like.I will (TRY) to update the rankings list everyday so that you know where you stand and ultimately who is the best in Chao.

| 1. notice guys that there is no way to actually LOSE points SO...get out there and play some games
2. recruiting a member = you tell someone they should join clan chao, that person passes an entry 1v1 game with a shaman, shaman says who recruited you, and that person lists your name.
If a person wants to be tested and no shamans are around tell them to add us and whisper us when we are on.

| >< this will be harder to keep track of than a tourny!
How will shaman be replaced?
who keeps score?
Anyone willing to put in the effort and keep score, deserves shammy!
Hope it works for you though. if you need it, in advanced posting options, you can make a "table" to help organize it.

| This kind of reminds me of an earlier rank or whatever like skill rank or something except unlike skill which is almost impossible to measure this seems plausible I suppose but your most likely going to have a lot of 300 and goose eggs. 1 or 2 members will stand out and the other wont care. I could be wrong though | |

| Glorn: This all works by posting your achievements in the Chao points topic then I will check that and add points in the chao rankings topic.
Dragon: if you could get your bot to keep track of all this that would be great but until then I will.
Didnot: If it works it works if it doesn't so be it.

| so potentially every person in chao can be a shaman if they get 1000 points? or is there a cap at say around 5 and the people with the top 5 amount of points are shamans? same question for grunts oh ya what about forum posts? shouldnt there be some reward for posting on the forum as that encourages others to post too? maybe a point every 10 posts? the only problem i see with this is that some people just spam useless stuff but maybe if you see that they spam just to get points you could lower their score by 5 or so | |

| you cant have more than 5 shamans so the answer to that is the max is always 5. as far as grunts go im pretty sure there isnt a max. the way i see it, shaman is still pending wraths approval, but i assume if he were to have 5 shamans and someone else had hit the prerequisite points, then there would either be a tourney or he would have to challenge a shaman that wrath approved.
just my 2 cents im sure wrath can let us know for sure.

| This sounds like its going to be a difficult system to start up, but I could see it working. If you play enough to become a grunt, you're gonna be a grunt that's a force to be reckoned with, and if you play enough to be a shaman, you're gonna be insanely good, you know, like a shaman should be. - Quote :
- oh ya what about forum posts? shouldnt there be some reward for posting on the forum as that encourages others to post too? maybe a point every 10 posts?
I thought of bringing up something like this when I read wrath's post yesterday, but then I thought about how much added work that would be for Wrath or whoever it is that's going to be keeping track of these points. When I was in chao, I didn't know who half the people in chao were, and even in BN, which is smaller, I still barely know anyone. That's just too damn much to keep track of. Also, I wouldn't worry too much about having more than 5 shamans, 1000 points is plenty, and if you happen to have more than 5 people with more than 1000 points, one can always be a backup shaman, you never know when someone has to leave the clan.

| Well its not actually that hard to keep track of members post their matches recruitment etc.In the Chao points post I take that info and apply it to the rankings.its really not that complicated however in order for this to really work Chao members are going to have to post. | |

| actually i think we originally were meaning to include posts as points too, and it wouldnt really be THAT difficult you can look up a persons total posts so you just need to know where they started from and take the difference...another reason we need a spreadsheet, plus this will increase the spammage on here and give glorn something to do | |

| Yeh know.. there is a point system in the forum already...
+1 for every day their account exists, +1 for every post, +3 for every topic, +5 for every friend.
Just write down what peoples scores are now; and when you wanna figure out their score since you started this' simply use basic subtraction... 172-92=80! You have 80 points!
OR yeh know... 2500 points.... /flex
Also, yeah, anyone found spamming, will be in troubleeeee!

| what if we play bn people? does it count as a clan match cause they are just as good if not better. would it require a certain percentage of chao people in the match? also what if you do a team switch cause someone lost connection or had to leave early for some reason? how do you score that? what if you help someone in the clan train in general not necessarily for the grunt test?

Keep them high... You dont need 20 grunts and 10 shaman in the next month.. you can let it be a long term thing.

| Even with solid playtime (including non-point accumilating matches) i only have 20 points. thats over the course of like 3-4 days of active playing. 3-4x's 11.5 (to=250) is 33.5-44.5 days of active play. assuming you dont get any tournies or bonus points like lozing to a pair of BN players who utterly destroy. . . xD I think 250 is fair enough for consideration. i mean on the flipside 1000 points would take (assuming my average is anything to go by) 33.5-44.5 x's 4 is 134-178 days. thats a quarter of a year playing away around 50% of your week (because there is a cap on daily point gain). Now i guess that would help to prove that you are dedicated to the clan and therefore approiate for shaman considership but if your worried about ability being sacrificed by lowing the points i dont believe so. | |

| well the points right now reflect nothing more than time spent playing and ability to make games with other clannies. well that and the ability to invite people lol. the point is to get people playing with the clan and getting to know eachother better (in terms of talking in chat not like some sort of queer fag WoW type butt buddy relationship...no offense to gays...).

| in a non-related issue congress just finished appealing the dont ask dont tell law for the army.
if its only about time and talking why not just go off of the fourm points. u dont have "QUITE" as much time talking to other players but there is alot of history already recorded on the fourms and i dont know about you but it isnt often that i talk about things outside of chao when im playing.
