| So was looking through my grandfathers old RAF stuff from WW2 and i found this Nazi eagle with a swastika symbol that used to be used to hold flags during processions... my grandfather took it home as a momento from his time in Berlin. Anyhow, thought id share because I was stoked about finding a bunch of cool stuff, including this eagle. Pictures will be forthcoming. | |

| Yeah i thought it was so cool...not looking to sell, but an added point would be that it was used in those huge processions where they carry the flags flat. There would be four eagles for each corner of the flag, and a pole to hold the flag would go through a small hole in the eagle's talons. Just so crazy we had this in our garage and i never knew... | |

| Well wouldn't you? I mean he kept it as a memo, kind of like a self-awarded medal, and though as a paratrooper medic he saw much of the most gruesome side of war there is, he did not see much actual combat...though he did manage to get hit by shrapnel, which he lived through because his belt buckle slowed its passage into his belly. | |
