Map loading time

Well my PC loads fast but there is a long pause just before the successive load. Comparing this to the D-o-t-a maps made by g-u-in-so-o the maps took forever to load until he cleaned up whatever there was and then the maps loaded without pausing. Maybe this map has stuff that can be cleaned up for a faster load time basically for slower PC's...

As you are new, and not a mapmaker, I will just assume you haven't read all the other posts about this, so I will try to keep it short.

My map uses something called "preloading" That is, it loads all items, units, triggers, abilities, ect. into the game while it loads. This is to prevent lag spikes in gameplay. Though it doesn't effect lag spikes created by a poor internet connection.

Even the beloved DOTA uses preloading. However, CHA has ~2X as many triggers, 10X the number of units, and well.. I don't even want to get into items. Thus, the preload time is much longer!

I am amused by the excessive use of dashes you use to spice up your post. It might takes you a bit longer to load due to location. I assume you - and - Vertis are quite far - away - part ? - Yes?

Load time has nothing to do with internet connection. It is based 100% on your computer specs. That is, processing power and RAM.

Download time is based on your max download speed compared to the hosts max upload speed; with some equation of distance and connectivity mixed in there.

It is true what Glorny says Basically I taught the map had excessive or unnecessary stuff to clean up for faster load. Btw Glorn which one r u n d pic? let me guess: RIGHT.
