Looking across the room
What a sight to see
Bringing a smile to my face
Bringing tears to my eyes
Taking my breath away everyday
How to explain this unreasonable feeling
Not able to think of anything but you
Looking forward to seeing that cute smile
Listening for the beautiful laugh of yours
So far you seem to be
yet you feel so close
Unable to share how i feel
Fear of rejection
This feeling ever so unbearable
I want to hold you in my arms

Trying to pay attention and hoping not to cry
While my heart goes to my throat and my mouth gets dry

To be fair there were no rules originally. Nice poems there. I probably steal one of those but not for a paper or anything chicks are suckers for good poetry.

seriously good stuff in here...who knew nerds had feelings too... ill throw a few of my works up here tonight...anyone actually had anything published? i had one make it into a poetry.com coffee table book, not really anything special but i am proud none the less.

My time is up
Today's the day
When I stand up

Who is the monster
the beast or the girl
who destroys its life
with few words and a twirl

takes the beast from its comfort
and damns them to hell
from living its life
To its final farewell

It happens so often
but noone notices
the once proud beast
now lying in ashes

for living its life
the only way it knows how
such a creature to live
they'd never allow

and the killer, a hero
for ending the life
the last sight of the "monster"
the blade of a knife

and noone shows sadness
there's nothing but cheers
and they praise the murderer
for ending their fears

For Drew

The day you were born was the first time i met you.
you dont remember it, but i do.
I fell in love with a baby boy named Drew
and no matter what happens i will always love you.

This is the hardest thing I will ever write, a goodbye to the boy that i love
You mean the world to me, and I know you will watch me from above.
Ive never met a braver boy, and i know i never will.
the thought of seeing you in pain brings my life to a standstill

I will NEVER forget you, or all the times that we've had
These memories will never fade, and none of them are bad
I was there for your first steps, and when you learned to skate
I taught you to play pokemon, and how to deal, with that one real mean classmate.

Remember when we used to play? with bats for swords and cardboard shields
Fighting trees that we made dragons, and saving people on the soccor fields
or do you remember the time you got me ungrounded by crying to my dad
that if i couldnt help you, the big mean dragon would beat you up bad.

In all the times we've spent together, you've changed my life so much
and even though those times will change ill never forget your touch.
the hugs from the sweetest big boy i've ever known will never fade
the pain of losing you, will always be outweighed

by the fact that i have had the chance to know the most amazing brace face
I know its scary, but just stay brave, soon you will be in a better place.

"The Current Situation"

The current situation is...
The current situation is chaos,
Blind prophets telling stories to deaf audiences,
The tinted glass façade of the theatre.
Only those who choose to listen see
Only those that can see will pay attention.
Be outraged, act up, be outraged!
The end of man kind will be its lack of perception,
The egotistical, arrogant sheep who deny the situation.

The current situation is...
The current situation prevents singularity,
Independence holds back the independent,
Adventure no longer exists except in rebellion.
One cannot join hands, as they are chained to the norm.
Amnesty is the ultimate victory,
If only the bullets were conversations,
And the bombs erupted into ideas to eradicate pre-justice.

Those who pay attention are outraged,
Those who cannot see only need for the blindfold to be removed.

I call for open mindedness, I call for amnesty, I call for peace!
I call for freedom of mind and independent thinking!
I call for adventure, I call for the norm to remain the norm,
