I have turned many of the innates into real skills, and others were already skills.

A lot of innates werent very good, and a few were very strong. Now, the innates are good for most of the game, even though there are less of them, it is still a defining point when you are picking heroes, due to exactly how much they can still help.

Due to the 27 new skills, I think innates will be the least of your worries!

i really think you should have all heroes stats be in the same order. i think it could be confusing to people who just look at the numbers assuming the stat order wont be switched up for 4 heroes.. Slithery, arthas, paladin, and timmy. my suggestion is awesome. right glorn?? ;p

Well Im not going to question it either but there has to be a little more variety or boredom will set in quicker. Although with 27 new skills I think Glorns right there will be plenty of distractions. Eventaully I think you should allow players to choose their innate skill but that would probably require you to wipe the map and start from scratch. Besides they will probably all choose crit anyhow.

Eventually, I plan to re-make the entire map... like, i am going to copy/paste all the items, heroes, and skills over to a new map (because of the... hundreds of hours of balance put into them) and remake everything else. When doing that, I plan to add another house of skills, a Misc2 house if you will, and well.. maybe have to raise the level cap... I`m not positive if I wanna do that for sure yet, but I may slightly increase the exp rate if i do, so the game wont take forever.

My biggest problem with the innates was that they shared cooldowns with normal skills, that some were very worthless, but impossible to balance with just 1 level, and that some were really good, and made real game skills worthless.

there is still quite a bit of variety, due to the changing stats of heroes, range versus int, and then take the innate into account. There is still reason to pick 1 hero over another. With the ability to pick your own innates, it would take away the demand to pick any specific hero over another once again...

for the off topic record, I am slowly learning JASS, with a dozen add-ons I`ve downloaded, it makes it much easier to use... so, I might be able to add some neat things before i get this edit out!

i could make it so green can obs also, however when you go OBS you change a lot of variables that can potentially break the game... And until I re-code the game, I cannot possibly fix them all... however, making green an obs wouldnt do anymore harm than the red obs mode, so i could add it.. just note that it could cause some of the same problems.

thing is how often do people really want to obs? unless obs can chat, most people are never going to want to do that...

Its a small step to getting cha to reach competitive levels. It is more neat and official then say the easily abusable -obs. The reason why we cant have obs is because the players cap to one map is 12. If you change it from 2 groups of 6 to 3 groups; One as Team 1 with 5 players, another as Team 2 with 5 players and another as Referee it will make the map look more official. Why not ask the question of how often do players want to play 6v6? I often do see more then one players who want to watch a 1v1 it actually happens a lot of times. Also with my proposed 3 group suggestion Refs can talk with the players as its a Ref team.

obs is just... boring. who really wants to sit and watch a bunch of other people have fun playing, while having their whispering privileges taken away. some people may not mind losing that, but i actually do talk to people when i play, as i think most people will do if they have a friend online. I dont see the point of taking away the option of a 6v6 big team game to add referees, which will go largely unused anyways...

Sami you misunderstand with my suggestion they can talk to the ingame players and they can whisper. You wont be sitting their bored shitless you can carry on converations if you wish.

the point of OBS is so that for tourny matches, you can host a game and watch it, for 2 other players competing. HOWEVER, all chat privledges are taken away so that players CANT help their team.

once this game is being hosted 300+ times a day on every server, I will start looking at what to do if big competitions wanna be held with it... but right now, we cant even get 15 guys together within our own clan to have a tournament with it...

Ironically Sami is always the first to want to obs me playing random people...so i guess the answer to samis question...is sami....

im talking about 99% of people that would never want to sit there and watch retards play?
