Auto Kick????

I don't know if it's a bug but i constantly become kicked from some games i want to join...

When I host i know it happened to some ppl too, cuz they join and leave right after.

That's really annoying.

im quite sure that people with slow computers or internets get kicked on game start up, due to the high number of events and units that appear on map intialization.

to address this, i have started removing a lot of things from the game, and adding them in with triggers in the first 5 seconds of the game. Some people may still lag out, but i think it will help with a great deal of the number of people dropping on start.

O.K But do you have any explanation on the fact that ppl cant join the games? My friend made CHAU 2.1 and i couldnt join, as soon as i joined i got kicked. I tried multiple times to join and never worked.

what is your account name? and by `Joined` do you mean, joined his game, or the game started? because until the game starts, i have no control over what you do

I have 2 answers for you.

1. Either your joining games where the host are not able to portforward (important word) and thus cant host. When this happens your stuck unable to do anything but refresh the maps, they says something along the lines that you cant join the game bla bla.

2. He has banlist autokick on and it auto kicks dlers or names of those who are on their banlist.

Glorn also has a blacklist (or shitlist) on his map where at the begining it will kick you. As far as I know there is only 1 name on it. They hacked his map and stupidly put their name on it.

Edit// Oh wait I noticed a few people the other day hosting a really old school beta map, on some of the beta's those are private where your name needs to be on the list or you will be auto kicked from the game, and on some of the really old ones both red and green need to type a pass word really quick or the game auto ends.

My friend can host, i can play any other game he creates, but in CHAU 2.1 i got auto kicked.

He doesn't get any banlist that autokick, only a autorefresh but he uses it in other games too and i can join. (We tried when autorefresh is off and i couldn't join)

I dunno where the problem can be.

hmm, do you know your computer specs? ram? ram type? processor? video card? what operating system? usually RAM is a big factor.. especally people trying to play a game with 1 gig of DDR ram, running vista...

if your computer specs or internet are very slow, it can cause you to disconnect. i used to have a guy on my team of testers who had an insanely shitty computer, and that is how i would make sure people wouldnt crash on start (f he could do it, anyone could)

if you have a powerful computer, then i dont know what the problem could be, other than a really weak host, who disconnects on start up, or if your computer security is disconnecting you...

if it is simply a "weak computer" situation, it will be dealt with when 3.0 comes on, in mid-late october.
