| It is capturing the flag. Captured flags = whole team gets gold. | |

| It's amazing how few people actually flag cap anymore.I'm going to say that's its due to the fact that it gives gold spread over the whole team rather than a massive amount to one player. Team games among clannies are few and pubs don't see any point in doing anything that won't help there own hero a significant amount. However Flag caps can make a team very powerful if someone can pull it off. | |

| Ya... It's risky and hard to do vs the pay off however. Generally if the other team is paying attention your notngoing to make it back as the flag debuffs your move speed. In 1v1s if your ahead in levels you can hit treasure snatch flag then hit yiff on the way back you get a sickly amount of cash. Like the treasure room it's a situation in which you grt handsomely rewarded if you dont get caught. However if you do your handing your opponent a free kill | |

| we did a clan 3v3; and it was AR. someone on my team ended up with timmy, with endurance, and no farming skills. He spent the entire game running flags. He was level 2 at the first duel, but our other two players had so much more gold than the other team.
I think a dedicated flag runner in a 3v3 or 4v4 (would have to be timmy with frenzy, endu, and divine shield) could win any game for a team though.
It is 200Xaverage level of players to everyone on the team. so, before first duel, lets say the average level is 3, and then 6, for 2 flag caps. That is 1800G to each person on the team. ... could you imagine?

| I would think it's unused a lot because: *A lot of people do not know that there even is a flag... I mean how many people run behind a base in a pub game... *It slows you quite a bit, unless you are running a mega ub3r fast build. *It takes up an inventory slot. *It makes you lose HP on the opponent's half(in CTF) of the field and you cannot use WW to get away, which makes you very vulnerable. *pubs do not know what to do with it.

| I personally like the siren for flags running as opposed to Tim as she gives you some mana to toss a shadowstrike or something to slow their asses plus intel has amply better bonus items for cheap, like the cloak of hidden, that will give you a little more beef if you get caught | |

| lmao, so, I will share...
I just played a 1v1, I picked Illidan with Frenzy and Endurance. And, well... I ran flags.
Then I ran more flags.
And, more flags...
When the game ended, I was 22, and all the creeps on my side were level 8. Being STR, with all that extra gold; it doesnt take long to become "ungankable". At which point, it is just a few thousand gold every minute or so.
was fun. If it was a team game, it would have been much better though.

| No and to clarify you do not lose hit points for holding the flag you only lose hit points in ctf and that begins well before you grab the flag it starts when your in the enemy territory. | |

| yea, but its kinda pointless to get it in normal mode, it slows u down and u get a lil bit of gold for takin it back to ur base, not worth it unless...well...it's just not worth it. =D | |

| iggy; i believe you skipped a majority of the thread; where we were talking about how "worth it" it is to run flags in a team game.
you are entitled to your own opinion, however, if you want to give your opinion... please offer some type of argument that will support your claim.

| i dont find it worth it becuase the ammount of time required to capture it leaves you open for ganks. Imo your gona wanna wait til later when u feel safe to snatch flags without being ganked or have the opportunity to be ganked which by then in the 45 seconds it takes you to walk all the way over there and back 60% slower i could have farmed 2 spawns and be wrapping up yiff which ='s more moneys and levels. | |

| Well my friend whom i play against often doesnt know about yiff nor does he know about flag (how do i get to it?) and playing in dark mode if it is 400 x level if im lvl 20 that be 8000 a run much more than my friend can possibly get. | |
