How to Gank

I looked and looked and looked, but cannot find anything on how to effectively gank people. Im not looking for anyone's personal style, just the basics so ican make my own style c:

well first ms+ slow stun or disable=gank

by getting slow word orb of frost banish stunfeild gardian ward attacking when oppnates in low health doom roots and many other skills that disable slow ext..

get a fast hero if its not fast make it fast ms that is you could attack 1 time every min if you have high enough magic dmg

the basics to ganking-

hero-
1. get a fast hero
2. get ganking skills (nova, wind walk, slow ward, darkness, goblins, slow poison, etc.)
3. get items to increase ganking potency (boots of speed, cloak of the hidden, frost orb, stone orb, etc.)

1. find an opponent that is not at full health
2. make sure said opponent does not notice you coming (be creative)
3. use gank skills on said opponent

guardian ward shouldn't be used in a gank build, its intended for a late game build.

-Pick a hero who moves fast, get a boost to said hero to make them faster totemic, time benders, or endurance aura

-Have a really good farming skill, flame strike, magic barage, death pulse, shockwave or tents.
get mana regeneration or use mana restore for early spamming

-Have a disable of some sort (found in defensive skills) hex, slow ward, slow, stun field (wind walk OWNS, get darkness or impale if u want a disable as well). Buy stone orb, light, or frost depending on situation after second duel to increase gankingess.

-have an ultimate that increases ur gankingness. (roots, death orb work best, but u can be creative)

-steal their creep spawns if u have mana

-steal flag after ganking if u can get away with it

there now u know how i play ^^

Aborb mana and mana restore are quite vital to most gank builds. Why? So you dont have to heal between ganks! this also allows you to creep a little better (when you are forced to creep)

A good method is to attack a lower level middle spawn for a while.. pop a quick mana restore; or steal mana from a creep... Dash over and gank.

NEVER leave straight from your base to the center. If you are playing anyone skilled; they will see this; and keep an eye on you. "Sneak" your way places. Look casual.

Ganking is something you need to practice a lot of before you get good at it. That is; intended ganking. Sometimes opportunity comes up and you get a free kill outside the arena... but that also isn't really ganking; just a lucky kill.

How is volcano as a gank skill? I got a few free kills when i volcanoed there creep area with them in it, and it let me finish all of there creeps

volcano is an ok gank skill, its only early game though, worthless mid-late
in a sense the best early game builds have no gank skills... they just never die, allowing them to camp. ganking imo is more of something made for a 3v3 game, where it is much easier to catch the opponent off guard.
