it would be smart to switch, as this has no problems that i have ever seen in the 5 years that it has been used, except when they randomly switched server locations on us... but yeah, she pays for this monthly, and she said that we could use it as long as we stay in our channel only.

ill get her to make some subchannels for us too.

i should have multiple channels for us in the next hour or so.

yo i'm not sure how strict the rules are about invading other channels but i did b/c when i got back nobody was on and i was bored. some of these guys are pretty chill. chalister actually holds a pretty decent conversation. I think it would be a good experiment to intermingle with some of these people to at least get cha a little known on outside circles. or at least to just meet the people who we share vent w/. kinda like meeting your hallmates

yeah, some of them are very chill. its just when they are in the middle of something, or if Kelly is in the channel. i told them all to feel free t join us. ive known Chal and gatt for years, and they are both awesome guys. you will know when there is a raid going on, because there will be 10-25 of them in a raid channel. try to stick to the lobby though for channel mingling.

hrm. im finally taking the time to try and set up vent, but how do i get to the first screenshot u posted? i just dled vent and it says all files downloaded but now what? how to i make a user and join a channel

You click the top arrow above the one i circled, and make a name. then do the other stuff i posted. when you open vent it should look like that without the topmost window.

what i mean is.... how do i open it? i download it and it says download complete and then im left with nothing. no icon on desktop, no file named vent, nothing to prove i ever dled it in the first place.

well, you did something wrong then. try looking through the program files.

ive looked through all my programs and files, and theres nothing there. i went to ventrilo.com, clicked download, click "i agree", it asked me if i wanted to save and i said yes, then it proceded to downloading and then it completes, the download box goes blank, and im left with nothing. ive downloaded it multiple times, trying different things, but i never get a file to open ventrilo or a desktop link

make sure that your browser doesnt auto-delete downloaded files. Other than that im not sure.
