Can't make immortal items

I can collect all the items for immortal shield or shoulders in my inventory, but they wont combine. What gives?

you are missing something required to make them. did you check the recipe? is it 100% correct? hundreds of people have made them.

Often times, people will have a recipe for a needed item, rather than the real item.

next time im in a game ill try to make them again and ill take a screenshot if you dont believe me, i tried picking them up and dropping them and picking them up again in different orders but no dice,

are there recipe items for immortal items??
