ok so this skill is basically the faerie fire of damage overtime. this damage isnt too rediculous, but the cast time and mana cost are extremely low. im not sure of the numbers but i know at max level it does 120 dps over 15 seconds. thats enough to completely counter a level 7-8 rejuv. in a 3v3 youd be doing 360 dps if you infected everyone. this skill actually has such a quick cd and mc that i actually managed to use it to creep! i would recommend using this with a dot like soul burn(if you can manage the parasite farm.) that way they will take massive damage every second, have there regen cut off, and wont be able to heal themselves. its basically like dooming a single opponent to certain death for that duel (throw in doom roots for an even more over exagerated doom) another thing about this skill is most people completely ignore it when ganking. if you see someone coming at you with red hp, and then use doom roots on you while your creeping, hit them with the parasite! even if you are doomed, you can take them with you. this causes most people after 2 parasite kills or so to kinda back off on the ganking. heck if your opponents in the middle and you see him in the red, go for a parasite gank! this skill is very versatile thanks to its low cd and mc but not op thx to the low damage. also, possibly the most fun skill to use in the game as well.

I would edit this one also to include mana cost and such, but i actually changed this skill in the next edit! ...and dont know the new numbers off the top of my head. I lowered the CD to 2 seconds though, and the mana cost by just a little, so you can actually farm with this skill without taking such a risk.

I would also like to add that this skill is not made for a 1v1... because of the lower CD, it is intended for bigger games, you can actually cast it on 6 people before it wears of the first! that is 120X6 DPS, being 720 DPS, 720X15=10,800 damage. Note: you cannot remove a parasite with most spell removing abilities.

Never actually looked into this skill will give it a try.

Why not make it so that if the person or creep die with this spell on them that they will spawn something make it so that it can help you more with taking less damage because of the spawns. Not asking for strong spawns just little ones that can help do some damage.

This skill without the spawns is really strong. with any type of summon, this would be over powered. This has come up a few times, and if you take the time to use parasite, you will understand how strong it is.

Well it sounds like a good idea for a new skill.You might want to post this under that category if it hasn't been done already.

I do understand how strong it is i love it it i part of many of my biuld on the game it is true that if you max it fast that it is great. I was just putting it out there to see if any of you would agree with me.

Have not gotten a chance to use in big groups. But it is effect in 1v1 if u combo with storm hammer and another stun like a ability.

Used in big groups, parasite is awesome!
Used at 1v1, parasite is a nice help to your DPS(can be used on a ganking build, say with shadow strike and like th. clap or something) while also a decent farm skill(hard to hit 8 on first duel with it, but can be done)
Overall, parasite is a really good skill dude.

Edit: haha yea Glornie made a Gank build with parasite =) Hes like 20 steps ahead of everyone. Looking for the link for it.

combine it with a slow of some sort, run around the arena with it casted and them slowed and laugh has they have no choice but to sit there n watch their hp go down xD

i use hex and storm bolt keep they out of the game.

i used ur build, however i switched bolt and hex for chain lightning and slow ward. Also instead of doom roots try weak con.
Chainlightning gives you that little boost in farming early game plus its a pretty good pvp skill.
Slow ward as said above instead of stunning ur opponets slow em and kite rofl at em while they run around QQing about this is bs. plus slow ward is a great team skill.
and Weak con a level 15 parasite acompanyed by ur opponet have 0 spell reduction is fucking amazing, it also reduc's creeps spell reduc makin it easier to farm.

The above seems like a waste of effort. Parasite pff silly scrubber just banish them weak more for burst then it is for durational.

Yeah, sharky makes a good point. The way parasite is balanced is so it deals about 40% more damage than a normal farmer, if you main level it. If you are off leveling it, the total damage over 15 seconds will be about equal to a farmer. If you are putting points into slow ward, then you are not putting them into parasite. If you are not putting them into parasite, then parasite is dealing much less damage. Lets say... 80% of what a normal farmer would deal; but the damage is done over 15 seconds.

Banish is a 1 point skill for most of the game. It will increase your 10 second CD chain light damage by 50% (in a single cast, opposed to waiting 15 seconds for the damage to be dealt). Before your parasite damage time would be up, you can throw another banish+chain; causing your chain to deal 100% extra damage in that 11 second window (for a lower mana cost than spamming multiple farmer abilities).

If you arent gonna main level parasite, then dont get it. If you arent gonna main level a farming ability, then dont get it. You could take my 2nd parasite build (I have 2) and go dragon punch, WW, parasite, with a single point WW to kite off parasite and the DP CD. off leveling DP will do a lot more for you than off leveling chain light.

i main level parasite but i use storm bolt, hex and whirlpool. you secondary lvl storm bolt and alternate between hex and whirlpool. very effective in 1v1 duels. i just need to find the right items for it.

i can see a new dps build coming out of this new v

parasites
doom roots, or less counterable, Demon Spawn. (for the stun mostly, so they cant abolish or cast debuffs as before they take some crazy damage.

OR what could be better...
