| as many of you know, i almost always try new things out in 1v1s, but when i do use my serious builds that work and what not i also play well, and gank, sit at their base, steal their archon spawns and the like. i also always get yelled at when i do this to people, and win. why is that? im not gonna put names here but why is it that people dont like to play a correct game? am i doing something wrong? as many of you know from your experiences from 1v1ing me all i do is bite my tounge and type a million " " faces to shrug it off if you guys are owning me. please answer... im tired of always getting screamed at at the end of a game... ty

| I really wasn't aware there were rules.. Play to win. Anyone that has ever started winning against Glorn in a team game that he's taking seriously knows what happens. Everything gets sold teammate gets buffed out and now 1v1 duels are impossible. Same goes for 1v1, unless its blatant bug abuse or something of the sort, all is fair in war and love. | |

| the difference between friendly games, and a game that matters, is rules.
In a friendly game, i will only try 1/4th as many ganks as I normally would. at the same time, I wont drag a duel out for more than a couple of minutes. In these games, you should put entertainment over a loss. Do something silly; do a healing build, or slow build, or something slick.
In a serious game, anything goes, with exception to stealing an opponents item that he drops to pick up an essence. If he leaves it there, it is yours. The essence is yours if you get it. Just dont ninja their shit.
^^Only rule to a serious game.
If people whine that you gank too much in a non-serious 1v1, declare that you have won, make them admit that you won; then go screw around in a corner for a while, and let them be a little entertained.

| LOL maybe for later tourny edits there should be an -FF command only problem is you would see pubs typing this right after the first duel. Hon style this baby mass 6 minute games!!! | |

You've destroyed several of my items doing that fyi... I don't really see the fun in dicking around games. Even if we (Me and Charge usually) are playing a shits and giggles game we still play to win. Personally, just for fun games/dicking around is what pubs are for. ..

the build was frost fall, bone wall, poison, and foul earth.... in a 1v1. does that count as silly or slick? thanks all though. *edit* *my reply to epics comment here, so i dont drag this topic out of order* it was insane.... with foul earth bone prison i was farming ele bosses at level 16. there are some other REALLY insane things you can do to piss ur opponent off, but i cant give those away (not that they;re hard to guess anyways), cuz then ill be hopeless with this build once people know what i do with it.

| Could be good, Foul Earth is more team orientated though IMO.. | |

| i play to win most games but i have a friend i play with we have some unspoken "house rules" no corruptflesh no ele mastery nothing that needs to kite more then 3 min to win a duel ect we can break these rules whenever we happen to feel like it and there is no punishment for not following them (like i said their at this point unsaid) its more of a i know you can play that well i know its really strong but its not fun to play against / counter properly so lets just not use them when we aren't trying to win then a "rule"
some people like playing against things more then others if you have someone you play against on a regular basis start making a list of what you will / wont use against them most games (dont tell him thats what your doing because you want him to keep preparing for it just in case/ so he can deal /w it in a real game)
for random pickup games eh. anything goes

| Ya I agree with Yiff, unless arangements have been made before the game pertaining to rules, I consider 1v1 anything goes. Although if you do agree on a set of rules, and you break those rules that is fairly dishonorable and a pretty big dick move. | |

Straight up. In a 1v1, even enemies can show respect. If your opponent doesn't want to play with something then don't use it, its all about respect.

| So, if I dont want you to use... any skill I deem OP... like, no vortex, no mana burn, no feedback.... you have to agree? so I can go mana shield, mana regen aura?
I think you guys need to keep in mind, that if you decide to be an ass; people will be an ass to you. Any of you ever attempted to gank me, or jack my creep spawn, and then I say, `Well, if that is how you wanna play...` and then I play really dirty, and you get pissed off?
I`m sure most people play like the following. They play for fun, but if someone is gonna piss them off, the gloves will come off.
Really, getting someone to start flaming you, or talking too much, is a great distraction to beating them.
Look at fats for example... he makes mistakes, cuz he is fucking around with something else, or whispering, and will end up getting his ass kicked. Same goes for wasting your time angerly smashing your keyboard with `NO U`

No you don't have to agree. You can tell them to suck it up. BUT if you do agree say ...
"I want to try a new mana shield build, would you mind not getting vortex" "Yah, I'll do that for you" "Thanks"
Then you get vortex, thats dishonorable.
"I want to try a new mana shield build, would you mind not getting vortex" "No, you shouldn't test things while demanding that counters not be used." "Okay Fine"
That is fine.
I'm more or less saying if you BREAK your word, that is a dick move/dishonorable. It would be like both agreeing to play super start in a tournament. Then upon losing pleading to your about modes. If you give your word stick to it, if you don't give your word then all is fair in love and war.
