SC2

so im seeing the advertisements for SC2 finally coming out apparently. just wondering how many of you folks are planning on playing/switching to this?? I'm not personally, pc games arent my thing save for WC3's custom 4 or 5 custom games i enjoy.

Im the same only finding a few custom maps i enjoy... These days games just dont have the same appeal

YAAA I AM! DUDE IT'S GONNA BE SO EPIC. i've been playing the beta and some alpha custom maps and they are sooo cool. theres fps, game remakes and everything! i actually got to # 1 in my league until the beta ended :.( makes me so saaad

SC2 is coming. And so am I.

But the sad part is that all of it's going to be online from what I heard, even the campaign.
However, if there can be some way to remake old maps (perferably CHA and Assassins) then that shit would be so cash.

yea im pretty sure glorn plans on remaking cha at some point for SC2, at least he has said so before. additionally the original creator of cha and another former editor have also apparently been remaking it as well.

At the moment there is no such thing as items :p you have to buy upgrades which cant be sold. I assume in the official edits map maker you will be able to make items though XD or someone will figure something out

how pray tell do you buy something that cant be sold?

It wouldn't be anything like CHA as you know it.. it would be completely different everything... except you should still be able to pick your abilities. I'm waiting to figure out what is possible before I become dedicated to an idea though.

will that mean that no one will play wc3 any more? :'(

jeez this is why you should've just put one dollar out and grabbed a beta key so you could have early access to the map editor :p a small price to pay in my opinion for the gain that it could have presented

yeah, but... yeh know.. I dont want to be the person to figure out how to do all this stuff with the editor. Once it is common knowledge, I will start doing it. <<Gonna be pretty busy for the next 6 months, so dont wanna get into it. And well, WC3 CHA is still a pretty kick-ass map. I would rather work on it until it is ready for a final release, then work on SC2.

im not. i dont really like starcraft. im waiting for diablo3. then ill be hardly playing wc3.

just got it but ive never played any of them before. so i got the old battle chest too. prob going to be offline for awhile but if you pm me or ask me for a duel i can arrange to be on just let me know when ur ideal time is. Piss why the hell did u boot me that last game. im still kinda mad.

well shit it sure as hell took a decade to come out it better be the game of the decade just like wc3 was RTS of the decade it was perfect timing on blizzed to realese the game now

and hell yes im playing sc2 my disc should be here thursday.
