So, for my college lit. class, we hadda read and analyze this, and give our general thoughts on the outcome....
It is a discussion between a guy and girl, and the girl is preggo, and the guy wants her to have an abortion, and she is on the fence. Without a lotta detail, that is the jest of it. We were asked how we think this story would end, as part of our essay on it... Here is my conclusion...
I think the decision would end the way really any argument ends in a relationship. The girl will start screaming, "OKAY OKAY, YOU WIN, I'M ALWAYS WRONG, IT'S ALWAYS MY FAULT! I'M GOING TO GET AN ABORTION!!!" Then she will stomp out of the house, and come back 5 minutes later, and start screaming more. She will end up keeping the kid, and the guy will marry her, to do the right thing, as any guy should. A few years down the line he will hear that stupid "YOU WIN" argument for the 400th time, and he will leave and drive off into the sunset, never to return.
