| Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act is its full name. Im just telling a few of you to be careful because one of these days what you say in a jokingly manner can be taken in the wrong way and you can end up in court facing a felony. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_of_Megan_Meier heres the wiki article on the story incase nobody remembers or know wtf this act is or who Megan Meier is or was. | |

| How can you be at fault if someone killed themselves??? You did not tell them to kill themselves... So what if they get emotional about something a stranger says, still is not their fault... | |

| If you drove someone so mad that they killed themself, its your fault. Thats like saying I gave them the keys to the bank, but I never robbed it, so im innocent | |

| ...what your saying is completetly different... Thats like saying "here is a gun... and they kill themselves..." What im saying is that you shouldnt take something a stranger says personally... Its just retarded... If someone kills themselves because i said something negative, that just makes the world have one less retarded person in it who listens to everything that he/she is told... After this rant... nap time | |

| LOL its a real issue no case you will be happy to hear has been tried as a felony as of yet they all have been misdemeanors but a couple of states really do want to push this act forward and make it a felony. The question then becomes how far is too far? You think this is trivial? You should see how bad the statutory rape laws are. If an 18 year old has sex with his 16 or 17 year old girl friend he has to register him self as sex offender and could spend mandatory jail time. And by the way there are plenty of pissed off father who will go this far. I know I misspelled a lot of words here I will spell check later.
Edited I only misspelled one word lol thought I misspelled several.

| True... im just saying that if someone does kill themselves it should not be your problem, if and only if you did not persuade them to do it... | |

| I think cyberbulling is a joke.. why? TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF!!!
in real life, unless you are really fast, you cant get away from a bully. If you are really fast, you must be in shape. If you are in shape, people arent gonna mess with you. So, there is the only issue with it.
If someone is picking on you on AIM, block them! There is an ignore feature on any game every invented for online play. Every chat system can be blocked. Hell, you can turn your computer off, go outside, read a book.
This truly is a joke because YOU have the means to end it. If you want to sit there and read what is being said, it is your own stupidity.

| after reading the whole thing, i have found dozens of other failures..
1) this kid was young, and stupid, and emotionally... 13 years old.
2) she was on anti-depressants, which are proven to cause young kids to commit suicide.
3) she really did have an argument with her mother about getting off the computer
4) she feel in love with a kid 3 years older than her (a big deal when you are 13) whom she had never seen or talked to.
5) the situation itself, if she died or not, is completely her fault
6) she said shit about someone else, and they got payback.
7) rather than stopping E-bullying, stop being a bitch in real life, and the internet will be safer for everyone!
