Cha-linewars seems to crash a lot. Could you have missed some leaks? The crashes are not crashes but more players being drop by disconnection right and left. I would like to play the game but the disconnections made it a wasted effort to try it. I could only imagine how many disconnections would happen on the wrath bot. I'm going by my memory from the last time cha-linewars was hosted publicly so maybe what I was typing has been fixed and if so please disregard it. However if this is the same version that was hosted the last time please look into the constant disconnection problems.

The disconnection is due to people with poor computers. Sadly, CHA-line wars is very graphic intensive, and trigger intensive.

A main cause of disconnects:
If the hosting computer loads things that other computers dont, then those other computer are placed into a different instance of the game, causing a server split.

True, on wrathbot, this can be a big problem. If we set the max hosting to 2 or something, It should reduce the problem though.

To figure out what is causing the lag, I need people to play it, and save replays of when people leave. Generally, if it is happening when a certain trigger fires, I can look at it, and see what I can do to reduce the workload.

The more it is played, the more I can fix it!

I'm still trying to fix a few coding errors with the bot and thats the reason I haven't actually put it up yet.Since I left Blizzard has gone through 2 updates that my version of ghost one was not made for and i'm more or less endless rigging it.Within the next week or so I may make a whole new bot all together just for Cha Line wars because my current one is super laggy even on Rev Beta 21.

Should be up and running Chalw now its running off a sever pc so it should be alot faster than it was.


Well there are some problems with the configing should have it up in a few hours.

Wrathbot is unable to start games due to bots joining and being stuck at 0. Its the occasional problem back again.

if u are admi just !open and then the slots where the bots are

if you !kick {name} the bot wont be able to join until a new game is hosted

Unfortunately there's really nothing I can do about other bots joining games.If there is anything I can do about it it would surely involve me adding some sort of bot detection system which in theory is possible.However it would take hours of C ++ coding and scripting to make even a primitive system.

Maybe a spoof check that simply kicks if the name is spoofed. I don't know how much work that is but it will easily remedy the situation. If you can program the bot to whisper players and auto kick if spoof is detected. Sounds like it can be a lot of work but I'm pretty sure its been done before and maybe you can ask someone for their program.

Don't you have a spoof checker already? And even then, if another bot joins and their name isn't spoofed they just sit in there and ruin the lobby.

you can do the !open command where the bot is and it kicks them. Just make sure everyone knows and we'll be able to stop it
and !votekicking also works if you have more humans then bots

Concerning the dl bots that join my games anyone who can ban them feel free even if it doesn't work right away it will be put into my database so I can enforce it from there and ban the whole Ip address.Otherwise they all seem to be from Denmark and if the problem continues I will ban the whole damn country.

I vote ban those danish tarts!

Well believe it or not we have alot of players from Denmark that populate the bot from around 3am-8am so I would rather not do the country ban.On the other hand players from Denmark are typically low skill pubs that steal spawns and leech xp all without saying a word so its a choice between bot quality and quantity.

You expect much else from a pub game? lol

Just checking up on this I have banned alot of the bots just seeing if this has cleared up or not ?

Not sure, haven't been on the bot in a while, been fanatically attached to SC2's editor lately.

Anyone know? I could go online and play for a while and see if any shitbots are ruining yours.

Bots updated to beta 7 now.

It appears without the European player base there hasn't been that many full house games. Even with them it still takes a long time to get a game going. Maybe its time to lower the amount of players needed to 1 vs 1.

Fair Warning I am going through a change of address and the bot may go down for a few days I will try to keep it on asap but after I move I won't be able to control if the pc stays on or not.It may be a week or so before I can go back for it.
