United States of America!

So tomorow im taking a plane to D.C. to visit my mom =)
I will be there for a month, so I probably won't log on to b.net for that time.

Also, we are going to New York City for a couple of days. I'm gonna visit that 9-11 memorial and I was wondering if anyone knew of a cool place to go on our visit to NYC.

Time sqaure?

i went to nyc 2 years ago for the first time with my sisters and we saw the classics statue of liberty, empire state building, rockefeller, etc. it depends what your into and how much time you have. we only had like 2.5 days. We also did a boat ride thing that basically takes you around manhattan, shows you all the historical sights and points out some interesting thing in the other burroughs. we did it in the evening and got some incredible pictures of the skyline as the sun set. I loved the Liberty Island tour and we went on a combined deal where we saw Ellis Island as well. Didn't really do the museums due to our lack of time we basically tried to be as effective as possible, figure out things we definitely wanted to do, and then saw what other things of interest were around those. anyways yea have fun, its an incredible place to visit, but i dont think i could live there long term.

I hear the museum of natural history is an amazing place to visit...

Verti, I'm only gonna be there a day =(
But yea, were goin to Times Square, The National History Museum, a big ass library(one with lions on the front.. The New York Library?), the 9-11 Memorial, and we're taking a Ferry. Not going to the Statue of Liberty cuz we've already been there.

So yea, it's good to be back to D.C., it's my second home =)

What's the Chelsea District?

The art district of ny. its pretty insane. but i love art so i guess it might just be me, but it is honestly one of my dreams to be able to go to chelsea district.

we went into a giant library, pretty sure that was it but im not positive. pretty freaking huge though.

If we have time, I'l mention Chelsea to be on our list. My mom is big on art, so she might like it. Thnx Stomp. I'l research it to see what's worth seeing, like buildings, etc..

Not to hijack this topic but I'm actually planning a trip to New York myself. I do have an idea of what places I want to visit I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions of places to eat. I'm looking for not well known but great places to eat kind of places. I don't mind fast food chains but compared hole in the wall kind of joints they don't even compare.

I dont go to the city; but I heard NYC pizza is by far the best in the world.

If you are gonna be anywhere upstate, look for a Lupo's; and try some speedies. I am not sure if they exist in the city though.
